What is Pilates Plus PB?

It's an innovative workout specifically designed to strengthen, tighten, and tone the body quickly and safely. This workout is largely based on the holistic principles of Pilates, but also emphasizes the strength training and cardio elements not inherent to Pilates to achieve muscle definition faster than traditional Pilates and/or weight training alone.

All in as little as 40 minutes! We've incorporated the key principles of core stability and blended them with the fusion of muscle dynamics to create a safe and powerful workout.


Moving effectively out of the borders of conditioned stimulus, this workout integrates the key elements of resistance and counter-resistance in a sequence that allows for periods of zero gravity at peak muscle contraction.

The composition of this workout strengthens the body, tones and elongates the muscles, improves endurance, jump-starts the metabolism, burns fat, increases flexibility and postural alignment, and restores the body’s natural balance.

The client, at conclusion, is left with a FLEXIBLE AND POWERFUL BODY, resistant to the everyday stresses of work and life.

Make sure to have a card on file. We can process it and schedule your session.

12 Hour Cancellation Policy

If you sign up for a class, you may cancel the class at least 12 hours in advance to avoid losing the class. Unimited Memberships will be charged $15 for a Late Cancel (within 12 hours of the class) & $20 for a No Show.

Some of our machines are 11 feet apart. So you don't have to worry about bumping into your neighbor. There's plenty of space!

ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY

Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so the instructor can go over the equipment and rules. You may not be allowed in the class if you are not early enough for the safety instructions & will forfeit the class.


Your spot will be held for the first 5 minutes of class, then it may be given to a stand-by

client. So it's best to arrive early.


If you're on the waitlist, you'll be notified up to 12 hours in advance. It's your responsibility to check if you've been moved into a class. You're always welcome to just show up in case there's a no-show.

"Unlimited" clients will be charged $20 for a no-show, or $15 if you cancel within 12 hours. So save $5 by taking a moment to cancel

Class Package clients will not be charged a late/cancellation fee, but will forfeit one class from their class package.

WHAT TO BRING

A great attitude!


Water!


Bring grip socks (required for safety and sanitary reasons). We also have some you can purchase at the studio.


You may want to bring workout gloves to help you grip the handle bars better...but most people don't need them.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

  • Most importantly, bring a positive attitude. Leave all your worries behind. The class is for you. You need to be present-minded when working out to maximize the benefits of the class.
  • Bring a towel as you will most likely sweat!
  • Bring water. Hydration is key!
  • Wear comfortable clothes that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin to "breathe".
  • Grip socks are required for safety & sanitary purposes (if you don't have any, you can purchase a pair at the studio).
  • Jewelry is NOT a good idea. A necklace may get caught in the springs system (a nightmare to undo) or you may forget it/lose it.
  • No cell phones during classes (please be respectful of others).
  • No strong perfumes as some students are allergic.
  • You'll need a hair tie if you have long hair.
  • Bring a friend! Sign up a friend and workout together. :)

The Training

At the core of our training method is the Proformer™, which represents a significant evolution of the traditional Pilates reformer. It is designed to cater to both upper and lower body muscles, using a system of springs and pulleys to accommodate the resistance and counter-resistance elements of the workout. Under the guidance of your certified instructor, it’s one of the safest ways to strengthen your muscles while reducing stress on the joints and connective tissues.

Throw Back!

Check out one of our promo videos from 2012! Back then, we were the only group pilates based studio in Pacific Beach, and one of about 4 studio in all of San Diego.

We brought an innovative style of fitness to the community, was studio of the month at Lululemon, won Best Pilates Studio in San Diego 4 years in a row, had our own App, gradually included Booty Barre, Piloxing, TRX, and Real Ryder Spin Bikes. We opened another studio in Encinitas, made several TV appearances, were featured in many magazines, had DJ's spinning during classes, and took San Diego by storm! But we are most proud of the community we've built in PB.
